Nepal's first Streamer Awards are coming to Kathmandu in December
Gaming, IRL, comedy and entertainment streamers get their own awards night, presented by Lama Group. Fans nominate, then public votes count for 70% of the result and a council for 30%.
Nepali streamers are getting an awards night of their own. Streamer Awards Nepal, billed as the country's first streamer awards, will be held in Kathmandu in December 2026, presented by Lama Group.
"Gaming, IRL, comedy ra entertainment: aba Nepali streamers ko lagi aafnai stage!"
(Gaming, IRL, comedy and entertainment: now Nepali streamers have a stage of their own!)
What we know so far
- When and where: Kathmandu, December 2026. An exact date and venue haven't been announced yet.
- Who's behind it: Lama Group, led by entrepreneur Pasang Lama.
- What it covers: awards across gaming, IRL (in-real-life streaming), comedy and entertainment.
- Who decides: fans nominate and vote, and a council has a say too. More below.
How it works
The organisers have set out four stages:
- Nominate. Fans put forward their favourite streamers.
- Shortlist. Nominations are reviewed and eligibility is checked to form the shortlist.
- Vote. Fans vote for the shortlisted streamers. Final results combine 70% public voting with 30% voting by a council.
- Awards night. Winners are revealed at the show in Kathmandu.
What's coming
The organisers are revealing these in the build-up to the show:
- Award categories: the full list of awards and who qualifies for each.
- The council: meet the council members announced so far.
- How to nominate: a step-by-step guide to nominating a streamer.
- Voting and show updates: key dates, voting instructions and announcements.
Why it matters
Nepal's streaming scene has grown fast, from PUBG Mobile and Free Fire creators to IRL and comedy streams on YouTube, Kick and TikTok. An awards night recognises that work and gives streamers, their communities and sponsors a reason to come together in one room.
How to follow it
Updates are posted by @streamerawardsnepal on Threads and Instagram, under the hashtag #StreamerAwardsNepal. We'll add the date, venue, categories and nominees here as they're announced.
