Streamer Awards Nepal opens nominations: all 17 categories and the rules
From Streamer of the Year to Clip of the Year, here's every Streamer Awards Nepal category, who's eligible, how to nominate and how the 100% public vote will work.

Streamer Awards Nepal has opened nominations for its first edition. "Nominations are open. Put your favourites forward," says the official site. Organised by LaMa Group, the company of entrepreneur Pasang Lama, the awards will be decided entirely by fans, and the categories cover everything from PUBG Mobile and Free Fire to IRL, music and charity streams.
How to nominate
- Go to streamerawardsnepal.com and sign in with Google.
- Pick up to one nominee per category. You can skip any category, and suggest someone who isn't listed by adding their public profile link.
- Submit. A saved draft doesn't count: a nomination is in only when the site shows you a receipt. You can replace a nomination in a category until nominations close.
You must be 16 or older and use one Google account only. No closing date has been announced yet; the organisers say it will be posted on the site.
Who can be nominated
- Age: 16 or older.
- Nationality: a Nepali citizen, or Nepali through at least one parent.
- Streaming: at least 20 public streams of 30 minutes or more on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Kick or Twitch.
- Eligibility window: 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026. Streams, clips and results outside it don't count.
- Limit: each streamer can be counted in two categories, plus Streamer of the Year.
The 14 core categories
| Category | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Streamer of the Year | The year's top Nepali streamer. Doesn't count towards the two-category limit |
| Rising Streamer of the Year | First public stream on or after 1 November 2025, under 100,000 followers on their main platform |
| Best Gaming Streamer | Gaming streamers across all games (Free Fire has its own category) |
| Best PUBG Mobile Streamer | PUBG Mobile streamers; pro players and teams have separate categories |
| Best Free Fire Streamer | Free Fire streamers; pro players and teams have separate categories |
| Esports Player of the Year | Players in at least one recognised tournament, such as NESA/ESAN, PMPL/PMWC or official Free Fire events |
| Esports Team of the Year | Nepal-based or majority-Nepali rosters at a recognised tournament |
| Best IRL Streamer | Streamers who take the camera out into the real world |
| Best Entertainment Streamer | Comedy and entertainment streams |
| Best Female Streamer | Female streamers who meet the general rules |
| Clip of the Year | A public clip of 60 seconds or less from a stream in the window |
| Impact Stream of the Year | A stream that raised money or delivered verified help, with receipts or confirmation from the beneficiary |
| Best Collab / Duo | A pair or group who streamed together at least three times |
| YouTuber of the Year | YouTube creators with at least 10 original videos over 3 minutes in the window (Shorts don't count); group channels can be nominated |
A core category runs if it has at least three eligible candidates. Esports, collab and charity nominations need evidence such as tournament results, rosters or receipts.
The 3 pending categories
These only run if at least five eligible candidates each get 100 or more accepted nominations:
- Best Music Streamer: if it doesn't qualify, its nominations move to Best Entertainment Streamer.
- Diaspora Streamer of the Year: if it doesn't qualify, it's dropped, and diaspora streamers stay eligible elsewhere.
- Best Sports Streamer: for real-world sports streams, including watch-alongs and analysis, with more than half of at least 20 qualifying streams about sport.
How the winners are chosen
Winners are decided by 100% public vote and receive a trophy. When voting opens, you can vote once per category per day, and a new day starts at midnight Nepal time. A confirmed vote is final for that category for the day, so check before you confirm.
That's a change from the first announcement, which said results would combine 70% public voting with 30% from a council. Under the current rules the council helps set the categories and adds one nominee to each, but has no share of the winner vote. Council members can be nominated, and must stay out of shortlist decisions in their own categories. Sponsors can't buy an award or extra votes.
Bots, fake or extra accounts, impersonation and harassment are banned, and the organisers say they will review suspicious activity and remove invalid entries.
When and where
The awards night will be in Kathmandu. It was first announced for December 2026; the official site now lists the date as "coming soon". Questions go to streamerawards@lama.group.
